The HALO Lid Liner is a premium mulberry silk insert that replaces the standard foam liner or synthetic sweatband inside a hard hat. The liners are made in China. The packaging is designed and made in Australia. Halo Equipt is Australian owned and family run.

It sits between the harness and your head. Silk is smoother against hair than a synthetic band, so there is less to catch on across a long shift. Most sweatbands are designed to be replaced. HALO Lid Liners are washable and reusable.

  • Fabric. Premium mulberry silk, 22 momme, high density weave. Momme is the silk industry's weight unit.
  • Sizes. Regular fits a head circumference of 57 cm and under. Large fits 58 cm and over. Read it off your hard hat's adjustment band, or measure with a tape just above the ears. Between sizes, take the larger.
  • Fit. Designed to work with most major hard hat brands and models. It replaces the sweatband, not the harness, so the suspension that holds your hat on is untouched. You may need to let the adjustment band out a notch.
  • Colours. Black and pink.
  • Care. Hand wash cold. In the machine, a cold gentle cycle in a mesh laundry bag. Air dry out of direct sun. Avoid bleach, fabric softener and the dryer.
  • Service life. Four to six months depending on use, wearing gradually rather than failing all at once.
